• வாடகைத்தாய் முறையை ஒழுங்குமுறைப்படுத்துவதற்கான மசோதாவை மாநிலங்களவையின் தேர்வுக் குழு ஆய்வுக்காக மத்திய அரசு வியாழக்கிழமை பரிந்துரைத்தது.
  • வாடகைத்தாய் முறை (ஒழுங்கு முறைப்படுத்துதல்) மசோதா 2019-இன் படி, வர்த்தக அடிப்படையில் வாடகைத்தாய் முறையை பயன்படுத்துவதற்கு தடை விதிக்கப்படும். அத்துடன், கரு முட்டையை விற்பனை செய்வது மற்றும் வெளிநாடுகளில் இருந்து இறக்குமதி செய்வதற்கும் தடை விதிக்கப்படும்.

• On November 21, 2019, the Union Cabinet approved the introduction of Industrial Relations Code, 2019. This is the third code under labor reforms. Under the new code, forty-four laws are to be amalgamated into four codes.
  • The four codes include wage rates, social security, industrial relations and industrial security and labor welfare.

    • The code intends to simplify and rationalize the Trade Union Act, 1926, Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, Industrial Employment Act, 1946.
    • The Economic Survey, 2018 highlighted that the labor reforms in Rajasthan increased growth rates of firms.

 

 

• University Grants Commission, UGC has issued circular to higher educational institutions to celebrate Constitution Day on 26th of November. On this day in 1949, the Constitution was adopted which came into force on 26th January 1950.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• The National Investigation Agency will host the first “Counter Terrorism Exercise” between November 21, 2019 and November 22, 2019. The CT-TTX, Counter Terrorism Table Top Exercise will exercise the Quad countries namely India, Japan, US and Australia.

    • The dialogue between the four countries was initiated in 2007 by the Japanese President Shinzo Abe.

 

 

• The annual report by the Sydney-based Institute for Economics and Peace states that the country most affected by terrorism in 2018 was Afghanistan (7,379 killed), displacing Iraq (1,054 killed). Iraq, now at second place, is followed by Nigeria, Syria, Pakistan and Somalia, in that order.
  • India is at seventh place in a global think tank’s list of countries most affected by terrorism.

• The Defense Research and Development Organization has allowed free access to its 450 patents. The organization intends to provide a boost to domestic industries, especially startups and the strategic sector that has a network of 50 national laboratories that are involved in research and development
  • The DRDO operating under the Ministry of Defence will offer complete access to its patents without charging royalty fees or licensing fees.

• The government has approved the sale of its stake in five Central Public Sector Enterprises, CPSEs.
