• தடகள கூட்டமைப்புகளின் சர்வதேச சங்கம் (International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF))அதன் பெயரை அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக மாற்றிவிட்டது. இப்போது அது “உலக தடகளம்” (“World Athletics”) என்று அறியப்படும்.
  • செய்தி துளிகள்:
    • IAAF 1912 ஆம் ஆண்டில் சர்வதேச அமெச்சூர் தடகள கூட்டமைப்பு (International Amateur Athletic Federation) என நிறுவப்பட்டது மற்றும் அதன் பெயரை 2001 இல் “தடகள கூட்டமைப்புகளின் சர்வதேச சங்கம்” என்று மாற்றியது.

• இலங்கையில் சனிக்கிழமை நடைபெற்ற அதிபர் தேர்தலில், முன்னாள் பாதுகாப்புச் செயலரும், முன்னாள் அதிபர் மகிந்தராஜபட்சவின் சகோதருமான கோத்தபய ராஜபட்ச வெற்றி பெற்றார்.

• The Uttarakhand State government started the Virtual Classroom Project, an online method of teaching, on 16 November. It was launched by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat.
  • He also inaugurated the first studio in Dehradun. The project was launched under the Information and Communication Technology scheme of Samagra Sikshar Abhiyan in Uttarakhand.

BANKING & FINANCE

• The World Bank has submitted a master plan to develop logistics infrastructure of Kolkata metropolitan area. The bank is to invest 300 million USD in the project.
  • The Government entities participating in the deal includes CII and the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation. The aim of the project is to improve competitiveness, increase employment.
