இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ஒடிய மொழி மற்றும் இலக்கியங்களை ஊக்குவிப்பதற்காக புதிய தளமான ‘ஒடியா மெய்நிகர் நிறுவனம்’ என்ற தளத்தை ஒடிஷாவின் முதல்வர் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
  • இந்த தளமானது, (www.Ova.gov.in) மாநில அரசால் டிஜிட்டல் மயமாக்கல் மற்றும் ஒடிய மென்பொருள் உருவாக்கத்திற்காக பயன்படும் வகையில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• தெற்காசிய மற்றும் தென்கிழக்கு ஆசியாவின் மீது டிஜிட்டல் தொலைத் தொடர்புகளில் ஆய்வு செய்வதற்கான, 2-வது இந்திய கைப்பேசி மாநாடு (2nd Indian mobile Congress) புதுடெல்லியில் உள்ள ஏரோசிட்டி நகரில் நடைபெற்றது.
  • 2018-ஆண்டிற்கான கருத்துரு (Theme) :- ”புதிய டிஜிட்டல் வரைகோடுகள் இணைத்து உருவாக்கி, புதுமைப்படுத்து” (New Digital Horizons Connect Create Innovate) என்பதாகும்.

 

 

• மத்திய உணவுப் பதப்படுத்தும் தொழிற்சாலைத் துறை அமைச்சர் திருமதி ஹசிம்ரத் கௌர் பாதல் குஜராத்தின் சூரத்தில், அம்மாநிலத்தின் முதல் மெகா பூங்காவான (1st Mega Food Park in Gujarat) குஜராத் அக்ரோ மெகா உணவுப் பூங்காவை தொடங்கி வைத்துள்ளார்.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ஐக்கிய அரபு அமீரகத்தால் (UAE – United Arab Emirates) உள்நாட்டிலேயே தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட கலிஃபாசாட் புவி கண்காணிப்பு செயற்கைக் கோளை ஜப்பானின் ராக்கெட்டான H-2A விண்வெளி சுற்றுப்பாதையில் நிலை நிறுத்தியது.
  • மேலும் H-2A ராக்கெட்டானது, ஜப்பானின் பசுமை இல்ல வாயுக்கள் கண்காணிப்பு செயற்கை கோளான இபுகி-2 என்ற செயற்கை கோளையும் சுமந்து சென்றன.

 

 

• பருவநிலை மாற்றத்தைக் கண்காணித்து, அதனால் ஏற்படக் கூடிய ஆபத்துக்கள் குறித்து ஆய்வு செய்வதற்காக, பிரான்ஸின் உதவியுடன் சீன விண்வெளி ஆய்வு அமைப்பு முதல் முறையாக உருவாக்கியுள்ள செயற்கைகோளை, சீனாவின் “Long March -2C” என்ற ராக்கெட் மூலம், கோபி பாலைவனத்திலுள்ள ஜியூகான் ஏவுதளத்திலிருந்து விண்ணில் செலுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• டென்மார்க்கின் ஓடென்சில் நடைபெற்ற டென்மார்க் ஓபன் போட்டியில் பஞ்சாப்பைச் சேர்ந்த சர்வதேச பாரா பூப்பந்தாட்ட வீரரான சஞ்சீவ் குமார் 2 தங்கப்பதக்கங்கள் மற்றும் வெண்கலப் பதக்கம் ஆகியவற்றை வென்றுள்ளார்.
  • இவர் ஆண்களுக்கான ஒற்றையர் பிரிவில் லூகா ஒல்கியாடி என்பவரை வீழ்த்தி தங்கப் பதக்கம் வென்றிருப்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 

 

அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• தென் ஆப்பிரிக்காவின் கேப் டவுன் பல்கலைக்கழக ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் மனித சிறுநீரிலிருந்து உருவான உலகின் முதல் உயிரி செங்கல்லை உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர். இந்த செங்கல்லானது “நுண்ணுயிர் கார்பனேட் வீழ்படிவாக்கல்” முறையைப் பயன்படுத்தி உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இந்தக் கண்டுபிடிப்பு, கழிவுகளை மறுசுழற்சி மற்றும் உட்சுழற்சி செய்வதற்கான புதிய முயற்சியாகும்.

• 2014, 2015 மற்றும் 2016 ஆண்டுகளுக்கான கலாச்சார நல்லிணக்கத்திற்கான தாகூர் விருதுகளை மத்திய அரசின் கலாச்சார அமைச்சகம் அறிவித்துள்ளது.
  • 2014-ம் ஆண்டுக்கான தாகூர் விருது – ராஜ்குமார் சிங்ஹாஜித் சிங்
  • 2015-ம் ஆண்டுக்கான தாகூர் விருது – சயனௌத்

• குறிப்பு :
  • குருதேவ் இரவீந்திரநாத் தாகூரின் 150-வது பிறந்த நாள் கொண்டாட்டத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக 2011 ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்திய அரசால் இவ்விருது உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.

 

 

பொருளாதார நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• உலக வங்கி வெளியிட்டுள்ள, 2018-ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான எளிதில் தொழில் தொடங்க தகுந்த நாடுகளின் (Easy doing Business) பட்டியலில், மொத்தம் 190 நாடுகளில் இந்தியாவானது 77-வது இடம் பிடித்துள்ளது.
  • மேலும் தெற்காசியாவிலேயே தொழில் தொடங்குவதற்கு எளிதான சூழல் உள்ள நாடுகளில் முதலிடத்தையும் இந்தியா பிடித்துள்ளது.
• குறிப்பு :
  • 2017-ஆம் ஆண்டில் எளிதில் தொழில் தொடங்க உகந்த நாடுகளின் பட்டியலில் இந்தியா 100-வது இடம் பிடித்திருந்தது குறிப்பிடத் தக்கது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• India jumped 23 positions in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Index 2019 and is now ranked 77 out of 190 countries in 2018, a development that could help the country attract more foreign investments. It was ranked 100 in 2017. India has become the top-ranked country in South Asia for the first time and third among the BRICS. 
  • According to the Doing Business Report (DBR, 2019), New Zealand topped the list, followed by Singapore, Denmark, and Hong Kong.

 

• The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the renaming of Jharsuguda Airport, Odisha as “Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda”. Veer Surendra Sai is a well-known freedom fighter of Odisha.
  • Renaming of the Jharsuguda airport in his name will fulfill the long-pending demand of the Odisha Government,which reflects the sentiments of the local public of the respective area.

 

• India Mobile Congress is one of the biggest marquee Mobile, Internet, and Technology event for South-East Asia organized by COAI and DoT. IMC 2018 was held in Aerocity, New Delhi. The congress was held under the theme of NEW DIGITAL HORIZONS.
  • The congress aims at building ideas, forging lasting Industry relationships, showcasing cutting-edge mobile technology & product trends, providing sectoral insights, industrial solutions, case studies & workshops.

 

• To review the current global and domestic economic situation and financial sector performance, the 19th Meeting of the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC) was held under the Chairmanship of the Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Shri ArunJaitley in New Delhi.

 

• Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, Environment, Forest and Climate Change announced that the Kingdom of Netherlands will be the Partner Country 25th DST – CII Technology Summit to be organized in 2019. This was announced at the Silver Jubilee edition of Technology Summit – 2019.
  • The 25th Technology Summit -2019 will be made a global event and the visit of their Prime Minister to India in May 2018 has marked the 10th anniversary of Science, Technology & Innovation collaboration between the two countries.

 

• India and Russia inked a $950 -million deal for inducting two new warships equipped with Brahmos missiles in the India Navy. The two frigates of the Project 11356 class will be bought directly from Russia and 2 more will be built in an Indian Shipyard.
  • The gas turbines will be built at a local yard and the state-owned Goa Shipyard has been nominated for building the 2 more frigates.

 

• PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s memorial on the leader’s 143rd birth anniversary in Gujarat’s Narmada district. Called the Statue of Unity, the bronze sculpture is the world’s tallest statue measuring 600 feet (182m) and overshadows China’s Spring Temple Buddha (153m) and USA’s Statue of Liberty (93m). The memorial was constructed in 33 months at Rs2,989 crore.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• In the latest ranking of the Global Passport Index, he Indian passport was ranked 66th in the world. in the latest ranking of the Global Passport Index, he Indian passport was ranked 66th in the world. Other than India, Kyrgyzstan and Zimbabwe share the 66th rank.
  • Singapore and Germany have the world’s “most powerful” passport with access to 165 countries.

 

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed his Italian counterpart Giuseppe Conte, who is on a day-long visit to India. During his visit, PM Conte will hold talks with PM Modi to boost cooperation in key areas such as trade and investment, besides participating in the India-Italy Technology Summit.

 

ECONOMY

• The State Bank of India, the country’s largest lender, was authorised to issue and encash electoral bonds with effect from October 1 to 10. These could be done at 29 of the bank’s authorised branches.
  • According to the provisions of the Electoral Bond scheme notified in January this year, these bonds could be purchased by a person who is a citizen of India or an entity incorporated or established in India.

 

AWARDS

• Nobel Prize Winner Malala Yousafzai will be conferred the 2018 Gleitsman Award on 6th December 2018. This announcement was made by Harvard’s Kennedy School. Malala Yousafzai will be honoured by Harvard University for her work in promoting girls’ education.
  • Malala Yousafzai became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. She was awarded for her global work in supporting schooling for all children.

 

APPOINTMENT

• Justice Vijai Kumar Bist was sworn in as the Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court. Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad administered Justice Vijai Kumar Bist the oath of office at Ashirwad Hall, Raj Bhavan. Justice Vijai Kumar Bist replaces Justice Satish Kumar Agnihotri, who superannuated on June 31, 2018.

 

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

• India’s indigenously developed nuclear-capable Agni-1 ballistic missile had a successful 2nd time night time test, conducted from Dr Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast. The test was undertaken as a part of periodic training activity by the Strategic Forces Command (SFC).
  • It was developed by advanced systems laboratory of the DRDO with Defence Research Development Laboratory and Research Centre Imaratand integrated by Bharat Dynamics Limited, Hyderabad.

 

SPORTS

• Nineteen-time world champion Pankaj Advani has won the second leg of the Asian Snooker Tour in Jinan, China. Advani delivered a power-packed performance to outclass China’s Ju Reti 6-1 in the final and become the first Indian to win an Asian Snooker Tour event.
