• ஃபானி புயலால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட ஒடிஸா மாநிலத்திற்கு புயல் நிவாரணமாக ரூ.10 கோடி நிதியுதவியை தமிழக அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது.
  • கடந்த 20 ஆண்டுகளில் ஒடிஸாவை தாக்கிய மிகப் பெரிய புயலாகும்.
  • மணிக்கு 245 கி.மீ வேகத்தில் வீசியது காற்று.

 

 

• ஒசூர் தனியார் தொழிற்சாலையில் பறவைகள் சரணாலயம் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • டி.வி.எஸ் தொழிற்சாலையில் 50 ஏக்கர் பரப்பில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இச்சரணாலயத்தில் 120 வகையான பறவைகள் தங்கியுள்ளன.

 

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• அதி நவீன விமானம் தாங்கி போர் கப்பலை கட்டமைக்க இந்தியா-பிரிட்டன் இடையே பேச்சுவார்த்தை
  • பிரிட்டனின் குயின் எலிசபெத் கப்பலை போன்று அதிநவீன விமானம் தாங்கி கப்பலை உருவாக்க திட்டம்.
  • இந்தியாவிடம் ஏற்கெனவே 45,000 டன் எடையுள்ள INS விக்ரமாதித்யா கப்பல் உள்ளது. இது 2004-ம் ஆண்டு ரஷ்யாவிடம் இருந்து வாங்கப்பட்டது.

• அமெரிக்காவின் ஹீஸ்டன் பல்கலை கழகத்திலுள்ள கட்டடமொன்றுக்கு, இந்திய வம்சாவளியைச் சேர்ந்த துர்கா அகர்வால் (ம) சுசீலா அகர்வால் பெயர் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • பல்கலை கழக பேராசிரியர்களான இருவரும் ஆய்வுப் பணிகளில் சிறந்த பங்களிப்பு வழங்கியதற்கு இந்த கௌரவம் அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• ஃபேம் திட்ட வெற்றிக்கு உள்நாட்டு பங்களிப்பு அவசியம் என இந்திய தொழில் துறை கூட்டமைப்பு கருத்து தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
  • எலெக்ட்ரிக் வாகன பயன்பாட்டை ஊக்குவிக்க மத்திய அரசு ஃபேம் (FAME) திட்டத்தை கொண்டு வந்தது.
  • திட்டத்தின் நோக்கம் – 2030-ம் ஆண்டுக்குள் இந்தியா எலெக்ட்ரிக் வாகன பயன்பாட்டில் தன்நிறைவு பெறுவது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• A Special Purpose Vehicle under the Ministry of Electronics & IT, (Information Technology) CSC (Common Services Centre) e-Governance Services India Limited, has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)Kanpur to upscale ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan’.
  • ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan project’ is being led by Dr. Reeta Singh, from IIT Kanpur.

 

• State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has received the green nod to drill 6 development wells in Assamat an estimated cost of Rs 240 crore.
  • The Union Environment Ministry has given the environment clearance for six development wells in five mining lease blocks in Jorhat and Golghat districts.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn was finally coronated recently after ascending the throne two years ago, in a $31 million three-day celebration that comes almost 69 years since the last coronation.
  • The coronation took place at the Chakrabat Biman Royal Residence at the Grand Palace in Bangkok.

 

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

• All the modules are getting ready for Chandrayaan-2 launch during the window of July 9 to July 16, 2019, with an expected Moon landing on September 6, 2019. India’s second lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, has three modules namely Orbiter, Lander (Vikram) & Rover (Pragyan).

 

ECONOMY

• A new report by industry body FICCI says that strong economic growth coupled with rapid emergence of India on the global horizon is poised to drive the growth of MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) tourism at a much faster rate.

 

• The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has brought relaxation in the income tax rules related to residential properties’ sale and carry-forward of losses, in order to facilitate fundraising by start-ups.
  • The relaxation laws are part of the ‘Startup India Vision 2024‘ that’s been prepared by the DPIIT.

 

APPOINTMENTS

• Archery Association of India (AAI) named Sunil Sharma, its senior vice president (also VP of Jammu and Kashmir Archery Association) in accordance with Article 24 of AAI Constitution (as approved by the Supreme Court on 4th December, 2017) as its acting president to start the election process. Sunil Sharma was preceded by BVP Rao.

 

AWARDS

• India’s most reputed cardiac surgeon and humanitarian, Dr Devi Prasad Shetty was awarded 27thC. Chandra Puraskaar,the annual national award from the P.C. Chandra Group at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre.
  • General Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, BelurMath, Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and gave away the award.
