தேசிய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• நிதி ஆயோக், அரசாங்கத்தின் சிந்தனைக் குழுவான இது, 2030க்குப் பிறகு மின்சார வாகனங்கள் (EV-Electronic Vehicles) மட்டுமே விற்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்ற திட்டத்தை முன்மொழிந்துள்ளது.
  • நிதி ஆயோக் தலைமை நிர்வாக அதிகாரி அமிதாப் காந்த் தலைமையிலான குழு 2025 முதல் 150 சிசி வரை எஞ்சின் திறன் கொண்ட ஈ.வி (முச்சக்கர வண்டி மற்றும் இரு சக்கர வாகனங்கள்) மட்டுமே 2025 முதல் விற்பனை செய்யப்பட வேண்டும் என்று முன்னர் பரிந்துரைத்திருந்தது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 

 

• காக்கிநாடாவிற்கு அருகில் கோரிங்கா வனவிலங்கு சரணாலயத்தில் உள்ள கோதாவரி சதுப்பு நிலக் காடுகளுக்கு யுனெஸ்கோவின் உலகப் பாரம்பரியத் தளத்திற்கான நிலையைப் பெறுவதற்கான நடைமுறையை ஆந்திரப் பிரதேச அரசு தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
  • கோரிங்கா வனவிலங்கு சரணாலயமானது 24 மர இனங்களுடன் இந்தியாவில் உள்ள இரண்டாவது மிகப்பெரிய சதுப்பு நிலக் காடாகும்.

 

 

• மத்திய சாலைப் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் நெடுஞ்சாலைத் துறை அமைச்சகமானது நாட்டில் போக்குவரத்து வாகன ஓட்டுநர்களுக்கான குறைந்தபட்ச கல்வித் தகுதியை நீக்க முடிவு செய்துள்ளது.
  • தற்பொழுது 1989 ஆம் ஆண்டின் மத்திய மோட்டார் வாகன விதிமுறைகள், ஒரு வாகன ஓட்டுநர் எட்டாம் வகுப்பில் கண்டிப்பாக தேர்ச்சி பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும் என்று கூறுகின்றது.
  • இந்த நடவடிக்கையானது நாட்டின் போக்குவரத்து மற்றும் தளவாடத் துறையில் இருக்கும் 22 இலட்சம் ஓட்டுநர்களின் பற்றாக்குறையைப் போக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகின்றது.

 

 

சர்வதேச நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டில் சிப்ரி ஆண்டறிக்கையின் சிறப்பம்சங்களை ஸ்டாக்ஹோம் சர்வதேச அமைதி ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனம் (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute-SIPRI) வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
  • இது போர்க் கருவிகள், ஆயுதக் குறைப்பு மற்றும் சர்வதேசப் பாதுகாப்பு ஆகியவற்றை மதிப்பிடுகின்றது.
    2019 ஆம் ஆண்டின் தொடக்கத்தில் அமெரிக்கா, இரஷ்யா, ஐக்கிய இராஜ்ஜியம், பிரான்ஸ், சீனா,
  • இந்தியா, பாகிஸ்தான், இஸ்ரேல் மற்றும் வட கொரியா ஆகிய நாடுகள் 13,865 அணு ஆயுதங்களைக் கொண்டிருந்தன.

• பெண்கள் டென்னிஸ் மன்றத்தின் (WTA-Women’s Tennis Association) தரவரிசையில் ஜப்பானைச் சேர்ந்த நோமி ஒசாகா என்பவர் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளார்.
  • டென்னிஸ் தொழில்சார் மன்றத்தின் (WTA-Women’s Tennis Association) தரவரிசையில் செரிபியாவைச் சேர்ந்த நோவாக் ஜோகோவிக் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளார்.
  • பெண்கள் டென்னிஸ் போட்டியை நிர்வகிப்பதற்காக WTA ஆனது 1973 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
  • ஆண்கள் டென்னிஸ் போட்டியை நிர்வகிப்பதற்காக ATPஆனது 1972 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது.

 

 

முக்கிய தினங்கள்

 

•  2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுன் 19 அன்று உலக அரிவாள் உயிரணு (செல்) தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகின்றது.
  • உலக அரிவாள் உயிரணு நோய் (SCD-Sickle cell disease) குறித்தும் அதன் சிகிச்சை முறைகள் குறித்தும் பொது மக்களிடையே விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் இத்தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகின்றது.
  • SCD என்பது ஹ{மோகுளோபினின் மரபுவழி மரபணு ஒழுங்கின்மையாகும்.

 

 

• உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள அகதிகளின் நிலைமை குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த உலக அகதிகள் தினம் 2019 ஜுன் 20 அன்று உலகம் முழுவதும் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• The Himachal Pradesh government makes mandatory for trekkers to carry a GPS device so that they can be provided all possible help in case of any emergency. Kullu and Dalhousie have been identified for installation of early warning system.
  • Rampur and Mandi towns have been zeroed in for setting up the relief and rescue base of National Disaster Response Force.

 

• The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has entered into an agreement with the Government of Telangana to offer MeeSeva portal users the option to pay using UPI Collect Request, RuPay Debit and Credit Cards for the services on the portal.
  • The MeeSeva portal of the State government offers over 150 government services and surpassed 100 million transactions last year.

 

• Indian Navy’s first Naval Air Squadron 550 celebrated its Diamond Jubilee at naval base Kochi after Completing 60 glorious years of yeoman service to the nation.
  • The squadron has flown 14 different types of aircraft starting with the Sea land Aircraft to the Dornier maritime reconnaissance aircraft being presently flown.

 

• IIT-Bombay has been ranked India’s best university for the second year in a row, gaining a global ranking of 152 in the QS World University Rankings for 2020.
  • Two other Indian universities, IIT Delhi (182) and the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru (184), have also cracked the top 200.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• India has extended USD 15 million assistance to Niger for organising the African Union (AU) summit scheduled to be held in Niamey early next month.
  • The summit is scheduled to be held in Niamey from July 7-8. It will also be the first time that Niger is scheduled to host an AU summit.

 

• WHO offers a new tool “AWaRe” to contain rising antimicrobial resistance and make antibiotic use safer and more effective.
  • AWaRe classifies antibiotics into three groups:
  • “Access” specifies which antibiotics to use for the most common and serious infections.
  • “Watch” specifies which ones should be available at all times in the healthcare system.
  • “Reserve” are those that must be used sparingly or preserved and used only as a last resort.

 

ECONOMY

• DBS Bank has revised India’s GDP growth for fiscal year 2020 downwards to 6.8 per cent year-on-year (YoY) from 7 per cent projected earlier, citing headwinds for exports amidst challenging trade outlook.
