தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• நெகிழி பொருள் (பிளாஸ்டிக்) விற்பனை செய்தால் அபராதம் விதிக்கும் நடைமுறை தமிழகம் முழுவதும் அமலுக்கு வருகிறது.
  • ரூ.500 முதல் 5 லட்சம் வரை அபராத தொகை நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • தமிழகம் முழுவதும் நெகிழிப் பொருள்களை பயன்படுத்தவும் விற்பதற்கும் 2019 ஜனவரி 1 முதல் தமிழக அரசு தடை விதித்தது.

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• 17-வது மக்களவையின் முதல் கூட்டத் தொடர் இன்று (17.6.19) தொடங்குகிறது.
  • மக்களவை இடைக்காலத் தலைவராக வீரேந்திர குமாரை குடியரசு தலைவர் பதவி பிரமானம் செய்து வைக்கிறார்.
  • வீரேந்திர குமார் 542 நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு பதவி பிரமானம் செய்து வைப்பார்.

 

• சென்னை வானிலை ஆய்வு மையத்துக்கு உலக அளவிலான அங்கீகாரத்தை உலக வானிலை ஆய்வு நிறுவனம் வழங்கியுள்ளது.
  • இந்தியாவில் முதல் முறையாக 1792-ம் ஆண்டு சென்னை நுங்கம்பாக்கத்தில் வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் அமைக்கப்பட்டது
  • சுமார் 140 ஆண்டுகளாக சென்னை வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தரவுகளை வழங்கி கொண்டு வருகிறது

• இஸ்ரேலிய கிராமத்துக்கு “டிரம்ப்” பெயர் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இஸ்ரேல் அரசின் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் உள்ள “கோலன் ஹைட்ஸ்” என்ற யூதர்கள் குடியிருக்கும் குக்கிராமத்தின் பெயர் “ரமத் டிரம்” என பெயர் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இஸ்ரேல் பிரதமர் – பெஞ்சமின் நெதன்யாகு

• உலகளவில் வித்தை சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் ஆடவர் ரெக்கவர் பிரிவில் இந்திய அணி வெள்ளி பதக்கம் வென்றது
  • சீனா அணி தங்கப்பதக்கத்தை வென்றது. போட்டி நடைபெறும் இடம் – டென்ஸ்பாச் (நெதர்லாந்து)

 

• சீனியர் தேசிய ஸ்குவாஸ் சாம்பியன் பட்டம் வென்றார் ஜோஷ்னா சின்னப்பா
  • 17-வது முறையாக பட்டம் வென்று புவனேஸ்வரி குமாரியின் சாதனையை (16 முறை சாம்பியன்) முறியடித்துள்ளார்.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Central Government has permitted to set up e-Foreigner Tribunal (e-FT) in Assam. It is a quasi-judicial authority which assesses the question of the authenticity of a person’s citizenship.
  • It should be set up by July 31, 2019, when the final list of National Register of Citizens (NRC) is published.

 

• Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has signed a contract worth of Rs 1,187.82 crore for supply of Heavy Weight Torpedoes – Varunastra – to the Indian Navy. The execution of the contract will be over the next 42 months.
  • The weapon will be manufactured at BDL Visakhapatnam Unit under collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

 

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

• A team of Tribhuvan University and National Geographic Society scientists and researchers have installed the world’s highest, fully automated weather stations atop Mount Everest.
  • Total five weather stations, including one at a record height of 27,657 feet, were installed on the Earth’s highest mountain above sea level.

 

ECONOMY

• The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved projects for infrastructure development worth Rs 1,650 crore ($235 million) in seven of the eight district headquarter towns in Tripura.
  • The Urban Development Department of Tripura government had submitted the projects’ details to the ADB through the Central government on which the ADB gave its nod.

 

 

SPORTS

• Jyothi Surekha Vennam produced a stellar show to help India clinch two bronze medals in the compound women’s section of Archery World Championships in the Netherlands.
  • The Asian Games silver medalist first led the fight back in the team event by shooting six perfect 10s out of eight arrows.

 

APPOINTMENTS

• Anti-corruption campaigner Zuzana Caputova has been sworn in as Slovakia’s first female President.
  • The swearing-in took place before Constitutional Court chair Ivan Fiacan during a ceremonial parliamentary session held in Bratislava.

 

IMPORTANT DAYS

• Father’s Day is celebrated every year on the third Sunday of June to honour the journey of fatherhood and the role that father’s play in the family structure and society. This year, it is be celebrated on June 16 (Sunday) in India.
  • It complements similar celebrations honouring family members, such as Mother’s Day, Siblings Day and Grandparents’ Day.
