• 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுன் 12 ஆம் தேதி பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி தலைமையிலான மத்திய அமைச்சரவை பல்வேறு திட்டங்கள் குறித்த முடிவுகளை எடுத்துள்ளது.
  • அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல்களின் விவரங்கள் பின்வருமாறு
  • மத்திய கல்வி நிறுவனங்கள் (ஆசிரியர்களுக்கான இட ஒதுக்கீடு மசோதா 2019”
  • முத் தலாக் தடை (திருமண உரிமைகள் பாதுகாப்பு) மசோதா 2019 என்ற மசோதாவுக்கு அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் அளித்தது.

• சவுதி அரேபியாவில் உள்ள இந்திய தூதரகம், மகாத்மா காந்தியின் 150ஆவது பிறந்த நாளை நினைவு கூறும் விதமாக ரியாத்தில் “அமைதிக்கான காந்தி சைக்கிள் பேரணி”யை நடத்தியது. இச்சைக்கிள் பேரணியானது Diplomatic Quarter Authority உடனும், சவுதி சைக்கிளிங் கூட்டமைப்புடனும் இணைந்து நடத்தப்பட்டது

• தென் அமெரிக்காவின் கால்பந்து நடத்தும் குழுவான CONMEBOL, ஆஸ்திரேலியா மற்றும் கத்தாரை 2020 கோபா அமெரிக்காவில் – (COPA America) பங்கேற்க அழைப்பு விடுத்துள்ளது.
  • கோபா 2020-ஐ அர்ஜென்டினா மற்றும் கொலம்பியா இணைந்து வழங்கவுள்ளது.

• வடகிழக்கு இந்தியாவில் அதிலும் குறிப்பாக அஸ்ஸாம் மாநிலத்தில் “நெல் தவளை” என்ற ஒரு புதிய இனத்தினை ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளனர்.
  • இது மிக்ரிலெட்டா அய்சானி என்று பெயரிடப்பட்டு இருக்கின்றது Micryletta aishani

• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜுன் 14 அன்று உலகம் முழுவதும் உலக குருதிக் கொடையாளர் தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகின்றது.
  • இந்த நிகழ்வு உயிர் காக்கும் இரத்தத்தைக் தானாகவே முன்வந்து கொடுக்கும் குருதிக் கொடையாளர்களுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகின்றது இது தொடர்ந்து இரத்தம் வழங்குதல் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வை எற்படுத்துகின்றது.

வர்த்தக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• வர்த்தகம் மற்றும் மேம்பாடு தொடர்பான ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் மாநாடு (UNCTAD)  வெளியிட்டுள்ள உலக முதலீட்டு அறிக்கை 2019இன் படி இந்தியாவின் அந்நிய நேரடி முதலீடு (FDI) 6% அதிகரித்து 2018-ல் 42 பில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டாலர்களாக உயர்ந்துள்ளது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது
  • 2017-18 ஆம் ஆண்டில் அந்நிய நேரடி முதலீட்டிற்கான முதல் 20 ஹோஸ்ட் பொருளாதாரங்களில் இந்தியா இடம் பெற்றது

 

• 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 21 அன்று மார்ஷல் தீவுடன் வரிப் பரிமாற்றம் ஒப்பந்தம் (TIEA – tax information exchange agreement) ஒன்றில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளதாக இந்தியா அறிவிக்கை ஒன்றை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
  • இது வரி தொடர்பான விவகாரங்கள் மீதான தகவல் பரிமாற்றத்திற்காக ஒரு சிறந்த கட்டமைப்பை அளிக்கின்றது இது வரி ஏய்ப்பு மற்றும் வரித் தவிர்ப்பு ஆகியவற்றைத் தடுக்க உதவும்

NATIONAL NEWS

• According to Mary Meeker’s Internet Trends 2019 report, India accounts for 12% of the world’s internet users. Almost 3.8 billion people or more than half of the world’s population is on the Internet.
  • China continues to be on top of the list, accounting for 21% of the total Internet users.

 

• The government has reduced the rate of the contribution made by employees and employers under the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Act from 6.5 per cent to 4 per cent. The government has taken a historic decision to reduce the rate of contribution under the ESI act.
  • The new rate will be effective from the 1st of July.

 

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

• India is to launch Aditya-L1, its first mission to study the sun, in 2020, Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman K. Sivan informed.
  • The aim of the mission is to keep a permanent eye on the sun without any disturbance. Aditya-L1 is meant to observe the solar corona.

 

ECONOMY

• Foreign Direct Investment to India grew by 6 per cent to 42 billion dollars in 2018. It grew with strong inflows in the manufacturing, communication and financial services sectors, and cross-border merger and acquisition activities.
  • The report ranked India among the top 20 host economies for FDI inflows in 2017-18.

 

APPOINTMENTS

• Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took oath as the new president of Kazakhstan. He was acting president following the surprise resignation of Nursultan Nazarbayev in March this year.
  • The career diplomat became the country’s second elected president after succeeding 78-year-old Nursultan Nazarbayev.

 

AWARDS

• Actress Priyanka Chopra will be awarded the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award by UNICEF’s American chapter at their Snowflake Ball in December. The award is named after actor-philanthropist Danny Kaye, who was UNICEF’s first Goodwill Ambassador.
  • The actor is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, as a part of which she visited Ethiopia last month.

 

IMPORTANT DAYS

• Every year on 14 June, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). The event, established in 2004, serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank blood donors for their voluntary, life-saving gifts of blood.
