தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• சென்னை மெட்ரோவின் நீள வழித்தடத்தில், டி.எம்.எஸ் முதல் வண்ணாரப்பேட்டை வரையிலான 10.01 கி.மீ தூரத்திற்கு மெட்ரோ இரயில் சேவையை இந்தியப் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி பிப்ரவரி 10 அன்று தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
  • இதன் மூலம் சென்னை மெட்ரோ-வின் முதற்கட்ட மெட்ரோ இரயில் திட்டப் பணிகள் நிறைவு பெற்றுள்ளது.

 

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ஜம்மு & காஷ்மீர் மாநில அரசானது லடாக் பகுதியின் நிர்வாக/வருவாய் பிரிவை, மாநிலத்தின் மூன்றாவது நிர்வாகப் பிரிவாக அறிவித்துள்ளது.
  • ஜம்மு & காஷ்மீர் மாநில நிர்வாக அரசால் இதற்கான ஒப்புதல் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஜம்மு & காஷ்மீரின் ஆளுநர் “சத்தியபால் மாலிக்” ஆவார்.
  • ஜம்மு & காஷ்மீரின் சிறப்பு அந்தஸ்து பற்றி கூறும் அரசியலமைப்பு விதி – 370
  • ஜம்மு & காஷ்மீருக்கான அரசியலமைப்பு நடைமுறைக்கு வந்த நாள் – 26 ஜனவரி 1957.

 

 

• இந்திய தேர்தல் ஆணையமானது, குடிமக்களுக்கு தங்கள் விவரங்களை சரிபார்க்கவும், விவரங்களை மாற்றவும், புதுப்பிப்பதற்காகவும் மற்றும் திருத்தங்களை மாற்றவும் “வாக்காளர் சரிபார்ப்பு மற்றும் தகவல் திட்டம்” ஒன்றை தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
  • இந்தியாவில் உள்ள அனைத்து மாவட்டங்களிலும் இதற்கான உதவி மையம் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. வாக்காளர் உதவி எண் 1950ல் அனைத்து குடிமக்களும் தகவல்களை பெறலாம்.

 

 

• எண்ணெய் மற்றும் எரிவாயு துறையில் தேசிய மற்றும் சர்வதேச நிபுணர்கள் தங்களது அனுபவங்களை பரிமாறிக் கொள்வதற்கான, PETRO TECH – மாநாட்டின் 13வது பதிப்பு உத்திரப் பிரதேச மாநிலத்தின் கிரெட்டர் நொய்டாவில் நடைபெற்றது.

 

 

• விமான தயாரிப்பில் முன்னணியில் உள்ள அமெரிக்காவின் போயிங் நிறுவனம், புதிதாக நான்கு சினூக் ரக இராணுவ ஹெலிகாப்டர்களை இந்தியாவிற்கு வழங்கியுள்ளது.
  • இந்த ஹெலிகாப்டர்கள், பேரிடர் காலங்களில் மீட்பு பணிகளுக்கும், போர்க் காலங்களில் அகதிகளை வெளியேற்றவும், நிவாரணப் பொருள்களை எடுத்துச் செல்வதற்காகவும் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

 

 

• இந்தியா மற்றும் நார்வே ஆகிய நாடுகளுக்கிடையே நீலப்பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சியில் ஒத்துழைப்பை வழங்குவதற்கான புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தத்திற்கு மத்திய அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் வழங்கியுள்ளது.
  • நீலப் பொருளாதார துறையில் சர்வதேச அளவில் முன்னணி நாடாக நார்வே உள்ளது.

 

 

 உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• வெளிநாட்டு தொழிலாளர்களுக்கு நீதி வழங்குவதற்கான நோக்கத்துடன் அபுதாபி நீதிமன்றத்தில் மூன்றாவது அதிகாரப்பூர்வ மொழியாக ஹிந்தி சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• ஐ.நா.வின் உணவு மற்றும் வேளாண்மை அமைப்பின் (UN’s FAO) பொது இயக்குநர் பதவிக்கு NITI Aayog உறுப்பினர் “ரமேஷ் சந்த்” என்பவர் இந்திய அரசின் சார்பில் பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
  • ஐ.நா. உணவு மற்றும் வேளாண் கழகம் (UN FAO) அக்டோபர் 16, 1945ல் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.
  • இதன் தலைமையகம் இத்தாலியின் ரோம் நகரில் உள்ளது.

 

 

நியமனங்கள்

 

• மார்ஷல் தீவு குடியரசு நாட்டிற்கான இந்தியாவின் புதிய தூதராக “சன்ஜய் குமார் வர்மா” என்பவர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
  • இவர் தற்போது ஜப்பான் நாட்டிற்கான இந்திய தூதராக உள்ளார்.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Election Commission of India (ECI) launched a Voter Verification and Information Programme (VVIP) for citizens to verify their details, change the details, new registration and corrections. The programme focuses on 2019 General Election.
  • The ECI has set up helpline centres in all districts in India. The voter helpline number is 1950 and they are well equipped with to help callers with latest information.

 

• Lions, identified as one of the endangered species by the government, the Ministry of Environment launched a three-year Asiatic Lion Conservation Project in collaboration with the state of
  • Gujarat government also implemented Rs 80 crore that will be spent on specialised veterinary hospitals and full-fledged ambulances for lions.

 

• Himalayan Cloud Observatory is set up in Tehri district with a motive to forecast and monitor cloudburst incidents in the Himalayan region and help minimising the damage. The Observatory is established in the SRT campus, in Tehri and is in testing period.
  • This is the second observatory in the country to monitor cloud activities by the Indian Science and Technology Department and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.

 

• The fifth edition of West Bengal Global Business Summit was inaugurated by state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. It is a two day summit held in Rajarhat, kolkata.
  • The U.K. India Business Council (UKIBC) signed an MoU to work on promoting trade and investment.

 

• The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) conducted its eighth round of National Deworming Day (NDD) with a objective to reduce the prevalence of Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) or parasitic intestinal worms so that there will be no longer be public health problem.
  • The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) envisioned an open-defecation-free India which holds the capacity to reduce the overall worm burden in a community.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• INS Trikand, the frontline warship of the Indian Navy, participated in a multi-national training exercise ‘CUTLASS EXPRESS 2019’ held from 27th January to 06th February 2019.
  • The aim of the exercise was to improve law enforcement capacity, promote regional securityand progress inter-operability between the armed forces of the participating nations for the purpose of prohibiting illegal maritime activity in the Western Indian Ocean

 

• Hindi is included as the third official language in the Abu Dhabi court system with a motive to improve access to justice for foreign workers.
  • Authorities have created bilingual language guides to explain complex legal terms in an effort to help people understand court process.

 

APPOINTMENT

• Shri Sanjay Kumar Verma (IFS: 1998), presently Ambassador of India to Japan, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Marshall Islands, with residence in Tokyo.

 

AWARDS

• Acclaimed Indo-Canadian filmmaker, Deepa Mehta will be conferred with Lifetime Achievement Award by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.
  • Deepa Mehta is best known for her trilogy- “Fire”, “Earth” and “Water”.

 

• Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh, GOC-in-C (General Officer Commanding), Northern Command, presented Gallantry and Distinguished Service Awards to army officers, other ranks and next of kin (for posthumous awards).
  • Lance NaikWani was conferred with the Bar to Sena Medal (Gallantry), received by his wife on his behalf. 20 units were also awarded for their overall outstanding performance in the Command Theatre in the year 2018.

 

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

• India test-fired Helina, a helicopter-launched version of the Nag anti-tank guided missile, with a hit range of 7-8 km, from the Odisha Coast on Friday.
  • Developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Helina is said to be one of the most advanced anti-tank weapons in the world.

 

BOOKS & AUTHORS

• The book “Law, Justice and Judicial Power – Justice P N Bhagwati’s Approach” written by Mool Chand Sharma was launched by the Chief Justice of India, Shri Justice Ranjan Gogoi.
  • The Chief Justice of India, Justice Ranjan Gogoi referred to Justice Bhagwati as the “harbinger of environmental jurisprudence” and a “judicial statesman”.
