• மறைந்த முன்னாள் பிரதமர் வாஜ்பாயின் 94வது பிறந்தநாள் விழாவில் கிராமப்புறங்களில் உள்ள மாணவர்களுக்காக “பாரத ரத்னா அடல் பிகாரி வாஜ்பாய்” சர்வதேச பள்ளியை மகாராஷ்டிரா மாநில அரசு தொடங்கியுள்ளது.

 

 

• மகாராஷ்டிராவின் மும்பைக்கு அருகில் உள்ள யுரானின் கரான்ஜா கடற்படை நிலையத்தில் ‘INHS சந்தானி’ என்ற 10-வது கடற்படை மருத்துவமனை கப்பலை இந்திய கடற்படையானது செயல் நிலைப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• The four day long 12th Annual Indian Subcontinent Decision Sciences Institute (ISDSI)conference commenced in SPJIMR, Mumbai.
  • The theme of this international conference is “Data Driven Decision Making in the Digital Age”.

 

• The NITI Aayog ranked Jharkhand’s Pakur district the worstand Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar the bestamong the nation’s 111 backward districts. The “Transformation of Aspirational Districts” programme aims to quickly and effectively transform some of the most underdeveloped districts of the country.
  • The second “delta ranking”of backward districts which the NITI Aayog has dubbed as aspirational districts was released by its CEO Amitabh Kant, reflecting the incremental progress made by the districts between June and October.

 

• In Assam, the third Dwijing Festivalhas begun on the bank of Aye river at Chirang district. Adventure sports, food mart, cultural events, traditional games are being organized in the 12 daylong event. Participants from Thailand, Bhutan and Bangladesh are also taken part in the festival.
  • Assam  Public Health Engineering (PHE) minister Rihon Daimaryinaugurated the festival in presence of several dignitaries.

 

• The 26th National Childres’s Science Congresshas been inaugurated by the Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneswar. Inaugurating the Congress session, Shri Patnaik has said that the progress of science is essential for the National growth and healthy Nation.

 

• Andhra Pradesh’svery own High Court will begin functioning from January 1. The Ministry of Law and Justice notified the constitution of the High Court in
  • President Ram Nath Kovind signed a notification in this regard. Andhra Pradesh High Court will be the 25th High Court in the country.

• Israel’sparliament, the Knesset, approved of a law to permit exports of medical  This made Israel the 3rd country after the Netherlands and Canada, to take its medical cannabis global.

 

• An American adventurer has become the first person to complete a solo trek across Antarctica without assistance of any kind.Mr Colin O’Brady, 33, took 54 days to complete the nearly 1,600km crossing of the frozen continent from north to south.

 

ECONOMY

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) set up an expert committee, headed by its former governor Bimal Jalan,to suggest how the central bank should handle its reserves and whether it can transfer its surplus to the government.
  • The committee, which has been formed to review the existing economic capital framework (ECF),will have former RBI deputy governor Rakesh Mohan as its vice chairman.

 

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

• The mechanical branch of Central Railway‘s Nagpur divisionhas developed a new AI-powered robot named USTAAD (Undergear Surveillance through Artificial Intelligence Assisted Droid) which examines parts of the coach in real time with a HD camera and transmits them over WiFi.

• India’s Aadi Sai Vijaykaran, an13 years old class 8 student from KC High, Chennai created history bywinning the Junior debate championship at the World’s Scholar Cup held at Yale University, USA.
