தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• நாட்டில் பெண்களின் பிரச்சனைகளுக்கு தீர்வு காணும் வகையில், 181 என்ற இலவச தொலைபேசி எண் மத்திய அரசு அறிமுகம் செய்தது. இதனை தற்போது தமிழக அரசானது, பெண்கள் சார்ந்த வன்கொடுமைகளுக்கு தீர்வு காணும் வகையில், “181” என்ற இலவச தொலைபேசி எண்ணை அழைக்கும் வகையில் விரிவுபடுத்தியுள்ளது.

 

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான இந்திய திறன்கள் (India Skills) அறிவிக்கையின் 6-வது பதிப்பின் படி, இந்தியாவில் அதிகபட்ச வேலைவாய்ப்பு திறன்களுடன், ஆந்திரப் பிரதேச மாநிலமானது முதலிடத்தைப் பிடித்துள்ளது.
  • அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து இராஜஸ்தான் மற்றும் ஹரியானா ஆகியவை இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. ஆந்திரப் பிரதேசத்தில் பெண்களின் வேலைவாய்ப்பு திறன் 46 சதவீதம் மற்றும் ஆண்களின் வேலைவாய்ப்பு திறன் 48 சதவீதம் ஆகியவற்றுடன் மொத்தம் 47 சதவீதம் வேலைவாய்ப்பு திறன்களை கொண்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி மாதம் 1-ஆம் தேதி முதல் கிம்பர்லி செயல்முறையின் (Kimberley Process) தலைமை பதவிக்கு இந்தியா தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • வைர வினியோக சங்கிலியில் உள்ள முரண்களை அகற்றுவதற்கான உலகளாவிய முன்முயற்சி, “கிம்பெர்லி செயல்முறை” ஆகும்.

 

 

• இந்திய – ஜப்பானிய விமானப் படைகளுக்கு இடையேயான, ஷினியு மைத்ரி – 18 (SHINYUU Maitri – 2018) என்ற இருதரப்பு கூட்டுவிமானப்படை பயிற்சி இந்தியாவின் ஆக்ரா நகரில் டிசம்பர் 03-07 வரை நடைபெறுகிறது.
  • இந்தப் பயிற்சியின் மையக்கருத்து : போக்குவரத்து விமானம் மீதான கூட்டியக்க/மனிதாபிமான உதவி மற்றும் பேரழிவு நிவாரணம் (HADR – mobility/Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief) என்பதாகும்.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ரஷ்ய நாட்டின் “சோயுஸ் எம்.எஸ்.11” (SOYUZ MS-11) ரக இராக்கெட், மூன்று விண்வெளி வீரர்களுடன், டிசம்பர் 03 அன்று கஜஸ்தானிலுள்ள பைகானூர் ஏவுதளத்திலிருந்து விண்ணில் உள்ள சர்வதேச விண்வெளி ஆய்வு மையத்திற்கு செலுத்தப்பட்டது.
• விண்வெளி மையத்திற்கு சென்ற வீரர்கள்:
  • அன்னி மெக்லெய்ன் – NASA அமெரிக்கா
  • டேவிட் செயிண்ட் – ஜாக்வெஸ் – கனடா, விண்வெளி ஆய்வு மையம்

அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• அமெரிக்காவின் வாசிங்டனில் உள்ள அறிவியலாளர்கள் ரேடியோ அதிர்வெண் கதிரியக்கத்தினைப் பயன்படுத்தி முதன்முறையாக என்சைம்களை உருவாக்கியுள்ளதாக, ACS உயிரிபொருட்கள் அறிவியல் மற்றும் பொறியியல் பத்திரிக்கை வெளியிட்டுள்ள ஆய்வில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இது, என்சைம்கள் மற்றும் காந்தத் துகள்களை உள்ளடக்கிய சிறப்பான கலவை மூலம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதன் மூலம், ரேடியோ அதிர்வெண்ணைப் பயன்படுத்தி உடலில் உள்ள என்சைம்களின் செயல்பாட்டினை கட்டுப்படுத்தவும், செல்லின் வளர்சிதை மாற்றத்தினை சரி செய்யவும் முடியும்.

• செலவினங்கள் துறை செயலராக இருந்த அஜய் நாராயண் ஜா (Ajay Narayan Jha), நிதித் துறையின் புதிய செயலராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக மத்திய அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது.
  ழ நிதித்துறை செயலராக இருந்த ஹஸ்முக் ஆதியா, ஓய்வு பெற்றதை தொடர்ந்து “அஜய் நாராயண் ஜா” நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

• உலக மண் தினம் (World Soil Day) – டிசம்பர் 05
  • உணவு பாதுகாப்பு, ஆரோக்கியமான சுற்றுச்சூழல் மற்றும் மனித நல்வாழ்வு ஆகியவற்றிற்காக மண்ணின் தரத்தின் முக்கியத்துவம் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக, ஆண்டுதோறும் டிசம்பர் 5ம் தேதி உலக மண் தினம் (World Soil Day) கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
  • 2018ம் ஆண்டிற்கான உலக மண் தின மையக்கருத்து : (Theme) – “மண் மாசுபாட்டிற்கான தீர்வாக இருங்கள்” (Be the Solution to Soil Pollution) என்பதாகும்.

• நீதியின் கட்டிடக்கலை : உச்சநீதிமன்றங்கள் மற்றும் இந்திய உயர்நீதிமன்றங்கள் ஒரு சித்திரவழிப் பாதை என்று பொருள்படும் ஆங்கிலப் புத்தகத்தை, (Architecture of Justice : A Pictorial walk – through of the supreme courts and High Courts of India) வினய் தாகூர் மற்றும் அமோக் தாகூர் இருவர் இணைந்து எழுதி, உச்சநீதிமன்ற தலைமை நீதிபதி ரஞ்சன் கோகோய் வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்.

NATIONAL NEWS

• The 80th Session of the three-day Policy Commission of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) will begin in Mumbai. Issues like trade facilitation and controlling illicit financial flow will be discussed during the three-day event, the opening session of which will be addressed by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

 

• The Nagaland government has inked a MoU with Estonian academy to enlighten the state people on the e-governance models prevailing in the world. The main objective of the five-year agreement with the e-Governance Academy of Estonia is to work together to develop and expand scientific collaboration on setting up e-Governance Academy in Nagaland.
  • The day long e-Naga Summit was held on the theme, “Building IT infrastructure to make the state of Nagaland the next IT hub of South-East Asia”.

 

• Residents of Maharashtra can now inspect government records in district-level offices and local bodies under the Right to Information (RTI) Act for two hours.
  • The move is aimed at increasing transparency and to cut down the number of RTI applications and appeals in the government offices.

 

• Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has launched the ambitious “Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)” scheme which would benefit over 31 lakh residents in the state.
  • The AB-PMJAY is the world’s largest healthcare scheme which aims at providing portable coverage of Rs 5 lakh per entitled family annually.

 

• The Centre has proposed prohibition of the use of animals for performances, exhibition at any circus or mobile entertainment facilities, a move hailed by animal rights activists as “progressive and laudable”.
  • In the Performing Animals (Registration) Rules, 2001, under rule 13, the following shall be added 13A– prohibition on exhibiting and training of animals for specified performances. No animals shall be used for any performances or exhibition at any circus or mobile entertainment facility.

 

• The Japanese Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) is in India for a bilateral air exercise – SHINYUU Maitri 18 with Indian Air Force from 03-07 December at A F Station Agra. The theme of the exercise is ‘Joint Mobility/Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief (HADR) on Transport aircraft’.
  • The focus of the exercise is set for the IAF and JASDF crews to undertake Joint Mobility/ HADR operations. Display of heavy loading/ off loading are also planned to be practiced during this exercise.

 

• With an aim at creating awareness about various schemes of the state government and improve transparency in distribution of individual and social benefits, chief minister Naveen Patnaik announced PEETHA initiative.
  • The PEETHA initiative is part of the Ama Gaon…Ama Bikash (AGAB) programme, perceived to be the largest people-connect programme of the Naveen Patnaik government.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• E. Mr. Teodor Melescanu, Foreign Minister of Romania visited India, recently. In the discussions, External Affairs Minister, Smt. Sushma Swaraj, highlighted the constructive cooperation between the two countries on international and bilateral issues.
  • During the visit, Romania will formally open its Honorary Consulate in Chennai. Romania will take over the Presidency of the European Council in January 2019.

 

ECONOMY

• The government has constituted a six-member committee to look at selling as many as 149 small and marginal oil and gas fields of state-owned ONGC and OIL to private and foreign companies to boost domestic output.
  • The panel is headed by NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar.

 

• The Economic Development Board (EDB), the investment promotion arm of the Kingdom of Bahrain signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Government to provide a framework for Co-operation between the two authorities to promote FinTech in their respective markets.
  • This MoU is in line with the EDB’s aims of exploring greater synergies between India and Bahrain in the financial technology space and will last for an initial period of three years.

 

AWARDS

• Hussain received a ‘Hero to Animals Award’ by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India for saving the lives of humans and animals by banning all forms of manja throughout the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
  • In July, Hussain called for a complete ban on the sale, production, storage and import of Chinese ‘manja’, saying these sharp-edged threads not only hurt birds but also children.

 

• Luka Modric won the Ballon d’Or award for the first time, ending the 10-year dominance of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Modric won the Champions League with Real Madrid and then guided Croatia to the World Cup final in July. He was voted player of the tournament.

 

APPOINTMENTS

• The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) announced the appointment of Jon Ridgeon as its new CEO following approval by the IAAF Council on the first day of its 215th Council Meeting in Monaco. Ridgeon will take up the new role in March 2019.

 

• Shri Ravindra Kumar Verma has assumed the charge as Technical Member in the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL), Ministry of Power for a period of 03 years. Hon’ble Justice Manjula Chellur, Chairperson, APTEL administered the Oath of Office and Secrecy to Shri Ravindra Kumar Verma.

 

SPORTS

• Rajasthan’s Maheshwari Chauhan retained her women’s skeet title at the 62nd National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) for shotgun events. Maheshwari got the better of Punjab’s Ganemat Sekhon. The bronze medal was won by Punjab’s Simran Preet Kaur Johal.

 

BOOKS & AUTHORS

• The book ‘Modiraj Main Kisan, Double Aamad Ya Double afat’ is authored by Swaraj India President Yogendra Yadav.
  • It was launched by agricultural economist Ashok Gulati and the Punjab State Farmers’ and Farm Workers’ Commission Chairman Ajay Vir Jakhar among others

 

IMPORTANT DAYS

• Indian Navy Day- 4th of December
  • Navy day is observed on 4th of December every year to celebrate the achievements, and role of the naval force in protecting and guarding the the country. Navy Day is celebrated in memory of the strength and bravery of the Indian Navy who won the Indo-Pak war in 1971.
  • The theme for this year is ‘Indian Navy, Mission-deployed and Combat-ready.’
