இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• மத்திய பிரதேச மாநில அரசானது பெரும் எண்ணிக்கையிலான கற்பிக்கும் திட்டமான ‘மில் பன்ச்சே மத்திய பிரதேசம்’ (குழுவாக படித்தல், மத்தியப் பிரதேசம்) என்னும் திட்டத்தை நடத்தியது.
  • கல்வியின் முக்கியத்துவம் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதே இத்திட்டத்தின் நோக்கமாகும்.

 

 

• கடலோரக் காவல் ரோந்துக் கப்பலான ICGS விஜயா (OPV – 2) 2018 ஆகஸ்டு மாதம் 30ம் தேதி இந்தியக் கடற்படையிடம் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
  • ஏழு கடலோரக் காவல் ரோந்துக் கப்பல்களின் வரிசையில், இந்தக் கப்பல் இரண்டாவதாகும்.

 

 

• 6வது கிழக்கு ஆசிய உச்சி மாநாடு மற்றும் 15வது ஆசியான் பொருளாதார மந்திரிகள் கூட்டம் சிங்கப்பூரில் நடைபெற்றுள்ளது. இதில் வணிக மற்றும் தொழிற்துறை அமைச்சர் சுரேஷ் பிரபு கலந்து கொண்டுள்ளார்.

 

 

• தூய்மையான மற்றும் எளிதில் அணுகிடும் வகையான போக்குவரத்து முறைகளை ஊக்குவிப்பதற்காக மூவ் சைக்களத்தான் என்ற மிதிவண்டிப் பேரணியை நிதி ஆயோக் துவக்கி வைத்துள்ளது.
  • ‘போக்குவரத்து வாரத்தின்’ ஒரு பகுதியாக ஒருங்கிணைக்கப்படும் இந்நிகழ்ச்சி ஆகஸ்டு 31 முதல் செப்டம்பர் 6 வரையிலான 7 நாட்களில் 17 வகையான நிகழ்வுகளை கொண்டுள்ளது.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• கங்கை நதியை தூய்மைப்படுத்தும் முயற்சியில் (கங்கை மிஷன் திட்டம்) இந்தியா உத்தரகாண்ட் மாநிலத்தில் கழிவுநீர் சுத்திகரிப்பு உள்கட்டமைப்பை வலுப்படுத்துவதற்காக இந்தியாவுக்கு 120 மில்லியன் யூரோ கடனை ஜெர்மனி வழங்கியுள்ளது.

 

 

விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• 2018ம் ஆண்டின் ஆசிய விளையாட்டில் மதிப்பு மிக்க வீரர் விருதை ஜப்பான் நீச்சல் வீராங்கனை இகீ ரிகாகோ (18) வென்றுள்ளார்.
  • 1998ம் ஆண்டில் இருந்து இவ்விருது வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
  • இந்த விருதை முதல் வீராங்கனை இகீ ரிகாகோ ஆவார்.
  • இகீ ரிகாகோ-வுக்கு விருதுடன் ரூ.35லட்சம் பரிசுத் தொகையும் வழங்கப்படுகிறது.

 

 

• தென்கொரியாவில் நடைபெறும் 52வது ISSF உலக துப்பாக்கி சண்டை சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் ஜூனியர் பிரிவில் இந்தியா 2 தங்கப் பதக்கங்களை வென்றுள்ளது.
  • அர்ஜீன் சிங், சீமா ஆகியோர் தங்கப்பதக்கம் மற்றும் கௌரவ் வெண்கலப் பதக்கம் வென்றுள்ளனர்.

 

 

• 19வது ஆசிய விளையாட்டு 2022ம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 10-25 வரை சீனாவின் ஹாங்ஜோவ் நகரில் நடக்க உள்ளது.

• 2017-18 ஆம் நிதியாண்டில் இந்தியாவில் நேரடி அன்னிய முதலீடு செய்துள்ள நாடுகளின் வரிசையில் மொரீஷியஸ் முதலாவது இடத்தைப் பிடித்துள்ளது.
  • இந்தியாவில் கடந்த 2017-18ம் நிதியாண்டில் ரூ.2.65 லட்சம் கோடி (37.36 பில்லியன் டாலர்) முதலீடு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • மொரீஷியஸ் – ரூ.95,217 கோடி (13.41 பில்லியன் டாலர்)

• இன்டர்நெட் சொசைட்டி (ISOC) இன்டர்நெட் சேவை வழங்குநர்கள் சங்கம் (ISPAI) இணைந்து பாதுகாப்பு உள்கட்டமைப்பு மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு வழிமுறைகளை (MANRS) மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான பரஸ்பர ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டுள்ளது

• கிரீன்லாண்ட் மற்றும் அண்டார்டிக்காவை உள்ளடக்கும் நிலத்தின் பனிப்பொழிவின் அளவை கண்காணிக்க ஐஸ், கிளவுட் லேண்ட் எலிவேஷன் செயற்கைக்கோளை (ICESAT-2) நாசா அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

• இந்திய ஆட்சிப் பணி அதிகாரியான பினய் குமார் இந்திய அரசின் எஃகுத்துறை அமைச்சகத்தின் செயலாளராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

 

• 2018-19ம் ஆண்டிற்கான இந்திய வங்கிகள் சங்கத்தின் புதிய தலைவராக பஞ்சாப் தேசிய வங்கியின் மேலாண்மை இயக்குநரும் தலைமை செயல் அதிகாரியுமான சுனில் மேத்தா நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

• அரசியல், வணிகம், கல்வியியல் மற்றும் பொழுதுபோக்குத் துறைகளைச் சேர்ந்த புகழ்பெற்ற பிரபலங்களை கௌரவிப்பதற்காக ‘பாரதிய மனவட விகாஸ் புரஸ்கார்’ விருது இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் வீரரான யுவராஜ் சிங், நடிகர்களான ஷபானா அஸ்மி, நந்திதா தாஸ் மேலும் 10 நபர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri J P Nadda inaugurated  the ‘71st Session of the WHO Regional Committee for South-East Asia,’ in New Delhi.
  • India would work with member countries on Regional and Global health agenda for common goal of Health for All.

 

• The Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju flagged off Delhi Movelo Cyclothon in the national capital, New Delhi. Delhi Movelo Cyclothon was organised by NITI Aayog at India Gate. The main aim of the event was making cycling a part of everybody’s life and also spreading the message of environmental awareness.

 

• The Gujarat Government has partnered with a top India-centric American advocacy group for the Vibrant Gujarat summit in January 2019, which is expected to be attended by some of the top American corporate leaders. Gujarat will host the ninth edition of the annual industry summit ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ from January 18 to 20, 2019, in

 

• Vibrant Gujarat 2019 is focused on ‘Ideas for a New India’ and to attract the best technologies and innovation, educational partnerships, and to gain an understanding of how Gujarat can also create a knowledge-based economy like that of the US.

 

• The Nagaland government has declared the Singphan Wildlife Sanctuary as an elephant reserve making it the 30th reserve for jumbos in the country. The Singphan Elephant Reserve is located in Mon district of Nagaland.

 

• Census 2021 will for the first time collect data on Other Backward Classes (OBC), the Centre said. The decision to count the OBCs in the next Census was to get a correct perspective on the social status in the country. The 2011 Census collected information in 29 categories that included a separate column for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes. The OBCs would also be an option in the column in 2021.
  • The enumerators will start “house listing” in 2020 and the headcount will begin from February 2021

 

• Aim to create education and learning awareness among the children, Madhya Pradesh launched a first of its kind initiative called “Mil -Banche” in all government schools across the state. It is an interactive programme between schools and society for promoting education and learing.

 

• In a bid to boost Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship ‘Digital India’ campaign, Rajasthan government will soon distribute mobile phones to women under the Bhamashah Yojana. Focused on women who fall under the Below Poverty Line (BPL), the scheme aims to transfer financial and non-financial benefits of government schemes in a transparent manner.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• China has pledged a $60 billion fund to bolster industry, counter hunger, and enhance security in Africa. China would also support Africa to achieve “general food security by 2030.” A China- Africa environmental cooperation centre will be set up where research on environmental issues will be conducted.

 

• India and Pakistan have agreed to undertake the Indus Waters Treaty mandated tours by their Commissioners in the Indus basin on both sides to resolve issues on the various hydroelectric projects, including the Pakal Dul and Lower Kalnai in Jammu and Kashmir.

 

• The Indian Water Commission led by Commissioner P K Saxena reviewed Pakistan’s objections minutely. The Pakistani side was led by Commissioner for Indus Waters Syed Meher Ali Shah. India and Pakistan signed the Indus Waters Treaty in 1960 after nine years of negotiations, with the World Bank being a signatory.

 

• Ukraine has launched annual joint military exercise named Rapid Trident with the United States and other NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) member countries. The exercise will place in the western Ukrainian village of Starychi. Its main goal is to practice countering armed aggression in conditions of the hybrid war.

 

ECONOMY

• To manufacture a wide range of ICT-IOT based solutions,on the sidelines of the first edition of ITI’s two-day ‘ICT & IoT Startup Tech Expo’ in Bengaluru, ITI Limited signed agreements equipment manufacturers and startups.
  • It partnered with Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC), New Delhi to establish telecom testing labs at its Bengaluru

• Former junior world champion boxer Sakshi Choudhary added the youth crown to her cabinet, claiming the gold with a dominating victory over Nikolina Cacic of Croatia in Budapest.
  • However, Asian champions Manisha and silver-medallist Anamika settled for silver medals.

 

• Lewis Hamilton delivered one of his greatest races when he wrecked Ferrari’s homecoming party as he stormed to a record-equalling fifth Monza victory at the Italian Grand Prix.

• Nehal Chudasama is thrilled to be crowned as Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva Universe and says the feeling will take some time to settle as this was her long standing dream.
  • The 22-year-old Mumbai girl was declared as the winner of Miss Diva Miss universe 2018. She will now be representing India at Miss Universe.
