உலக செய்திகள்

 

 

• அமெரிக்காவில் கலிபோர்னியா நகரை, உலகின் முதல் சோலார் நகரமாக செயல்படுவத்துவதற்கு அனைத்து வீடுகளிலும் கட்டாயம் சோலார் தகடுகள் பொறுத்த வேண்டும் என்ற சட்டம் அமலுக்கு வந்துள்ளது.

 

• உலகிலேயே, ஒரே கல்லால் செய்யப்பட்ட உயரமான சிலை கர்நாடகா மாநிலம்(இந்தியா), சரவணபெலகோலா என்ற இடத்தில் உள்ள கோமதீஸ்வரர்(பாகுபலி என்று அழைக்கப்படுவார்) சிலையாகும்.

• மகாராஷ்டிராவில் உள்ள அகமதாபாத் சிறைச்சாலையில் கைதிகளுக்கு ரேடியோ நிலையம் தொடங்கப்பட உள்ளது. இந்த ரேடியோ முழுமையாக கைதிகளால் இயக்கப்படும் என்று சிறைச்சாலை அதிகாரிகள் அறிவித்துள்ளனர்.

 

• அரசு முறை பயணமாக பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி இன்று நேபாளம் செல்கிறார்.

• The SCO Tourism Ministers’ conference was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. This is the first tourism ministerial meeting between member countryes of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

 

• External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj left on a two-day visit to Myanmar. The visit is part of the ongoing high-level interaction between the governments of India and Myanmar.

 

• Indian Government has sent 2nd relief consignment for Rohingyas (who fled Myanmar) residing in refugee camps in Bangladesh.

 

• Airports Authority of India (AAI) signed a Rs 945-crore deal with the Harris Corporation of the US for development of its futuristic telecommunications infrastructure (FTI) programme.

• Yahoo has launched its own new group chat app named Squirrel. Squirrel Group Chat App is still in testing. It is available on Google Play and the App Store.

 

• Astronomers have discovered an unusual, first of its kind, carbon-rich asteroid in the Kuiper Belt. This object has been designated 2004 EW95.

 

• China successfully launched a hyperspectral imaging satellite ‘Gaofen-5’ for comprehensive observation of the atmosphere, including air pollution which is one of the country’s major problems.
