தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• பருவநிலை மாற்றம் தொடர்பான ஆய்வில் சிறந்த பங்களிப்பை வழங்கிய விஞ்ஞானிகளுக்கான தைவானின் டாங் விருது தமிழகத்தின் சென்னையை சேர்ந்த தமிழரான வீரபத்தரன் ராமநாதனுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது. இந்த விருது காற்று மாசுபாடு குறித்து நடத்திய ஆய்வுக்காக வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• இந்தியாவின சுற்றுலா துறையை பிரபலபடுத்தவும் இந்தியாவுக்கான அமெரிக்கா சுற்றுலா பயணிகளை அதிகளவில் ஈர்க்கும் நோக்கில் Incredible India Road show என்ற தலைப்பில் சாலைக் கண்காட்சியை அமெரிக்காவில் இந்தியாவின் சுற்றுலாத் துறை இணையமைச்சர் கே. ஜே. அல்போண்ஸ் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

 

 

• மாகாத்மா காந்தி ஊரக வேலை வாய்ப்பு திட்டத்தின் (MGNREGS) கீழ் விவசாயத்தை கொண்டு வருவதற்;கு மத்திய அரசாங்கம் 7 பேர் கொண்ட குழுவை அமைத்துள்ளது இந்த குழுவின் தலைவராக மத்திய பிரதேஷ் முதலமைச்சர் சிவராஜ் சிங் சௌக்கான் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

1. MGNREGS இந்த திட்டம் 2005 இல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

• மிக அதிவேகமாக செயல்படும் சூப்பர்கம்ப்யூட்டரை அமெரிக்காவின் ஒக் ரிடேஜ் தேசிய கூடத்தில் உள்ள விஞ்ஞானிகள் கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளனர் இதற்கு சம்மிட் என பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi and Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir has jointly launched a handbook titled “Legal Processes for the Police in Respect of Crime Against Children” on ways to prevent crimes against children.

 

• Goa Revolution Day was celebrated on June 18 in the state to pay tributes to the martyrs of the state’s liberation struggle.
  • The revolutionary call provided a spark to Goa’s freedom struggle and the state was finally liberated on 19th December, 1961.

 

• The Central government is mulling to link MNREGA with the agriculture sector in a way that the rural employment scheme and the demands of labour in agriculture complement each other.
  • Government has formed a seven-member committee of the Chief Ministers that will also suggest the way to implement it.
  • The committee, headed by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

International News

• Greece and Macedonia has signed an agreement to change Macedonia’s name to the Republic of Northern Macedonia, setting aside 27-year-old dispute over the latter’s name.

 

• The World Health Organization (WHO) has now included “gaming disorder” as a mental health condition in its International Classification of Diseases (ICD).

 

• The two-day international Information and Communication Technology (ICT) 2018 conference concluded in Nepal on June 18.
