• அதிநவீன பால் பதனிடும் தொழிற்சாலை தமிழக அரசு சார்பில் காஞ்சிபுரம் மாவட்டம் சோழிங்கநல்லூரில் ஜுலை 17 அன்று திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • அதிநவீன தொழில்நுட்ப முறையில் பதப்படுத்தப்பட்ட பால் சாதாரண அறை வெப்ப நிலையிலேயே (Room Temperature) 90 நாள் கெடாமல் இருக்கும்

 

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• மும்பையில் உள்ள மேற்கு இரயில்வேயின் கீழ் வரும் எல்பின்ஸ்டன் ரோடு இரயில் நிலையத்தின் (Elphinstone Rood station) பெயர் ‘பிரபாதேவி இரயில் நிலையம்’ (Prabhadevi station)என பெயர் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• சுற்றுலாத் துறைக்கு முக்கியமான ஊக்கத்தை அளிப்பதற்கான, 2வது தேசிய சுற்றுலா மாநாடு இராஜஸ்தான் மாநிலத்தின் தலைநகரான ஜெய்ப்பூரில் நடைபெற உள்ளது.
  முதல் தேசிய சுற்றுலா மாநாடு சண்டிகரில் 2017-ம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்றது.

• ஐ.நா மனித உரிமைகள் சபைக்கு (UNHRC – United Nation Human Rights commission)அமெரிக்காவிற்கு பதிலாக ஐஸ்லாந்தினை ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பொது சபை (United Nation Assembly) தேர்வு செய்துள்ளது.
  • ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் மனித உரிமைகள் சபையிலிருந்து அமெரிக்கா வெளியேறுவதை அடுத்து அதன் பணியை தொடர்வதற்காக ஐஸ்லாந்தினை U.N General Assembly தேர்வு செய்துள்ளது.

  • இதன் தலைமையகம் சுவிட்சர்லாந்தின் ஜெனிவாவில் உள்ளது.

• விம்பிள்டன் டென்னிஸ் போட்டிகளில் நடுவராக பங்கேற்கும் மிகவும் இளம் வயது (23வயது) இந்திய நடுவர் என்ற பெருமையை ‘சகார் காஷ்யப்’(Sagar Kashyap) பெற்றுள்ளார்.

 

 

• செக் குடியரசின் மில்சேன் நகரில் நடைபெற்ற 28வது சர்வதேச துப்பாக்கிச் சுடுதல் போட்டியில் இந்தியா 11 தங்கம், 7 வெள்ளி, 6 வெண்கல பதக்கத்துடன் சாதனை படைத்துள்ளது.

  • கருப்பின மக்களின் விடுதலைக்காகப் போராடிய நெல்சன் மண்டேலாவை பெருமைப்படுத்தும் விதமாக, ஐ.நா சபையால் 2009ம் ஆண்டு முதல் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் அவரது பிறந்த நாளான ஜுலை 18ம் தேதி சர்வதேச மண்டேலா தினமாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

  • 2018ம் ஆண்டு அவரின் நூற்றாண்டுப் பிறந்த நாளாகும்.

• The Elphinstone Road station in Mumbai has been renamed as Prabhadevi station. The new name came into effect from the midnight of July 18.

  • Nikki Haley, the US Permanent Representative to the United Nations announced the withdrawal.

 

• US State Department has announced that the inaugural ‘two-plus-two dialogue’ between India and the United States will be held in New Delhi in September 2018. Recently, the US had postponed the dialogue due to ‘unavoidable reasons’.

 

BANKING & ECONOMY

• As per Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s Asian Development Outlook report India continues to be the fastest growing economy in Asia with projected GDP growth of 3 per cent.
  • Growth would accelerate to 6 percent in 2019.

 

• Kisan Mela was organized at State Bank of India’s rural and semi-urban branches across the country to impart financial literacy to farmers. It is one-of-its-kind initiative to develop connect with farmer customers, resolve their grievances and educate them about their various rights and bank’s initiatives.

• Repco Micro Finance Ltd, a non-banking finance company promoted by Repco Bank, received Nabard 2018 award for its service to self-help group (SHG) linkage in Tamil Nadu for the fiscal year 2017-18.
