• உலகின் மிகப் பெரிய இந்திய விசா மையம், வங்கதேச தலைநகர் டாக்காவில் இந்திய அரசு சார்பில் ஜுலை – 15 அன்று திறக்கப்பட்டது.

குறிப்பு:

• வங்கதேசத்துக்கான இந்திய தூதர் – ஹர்ஷ்வர்தன் ஷ்ரிங்ளா

 

 

• உலக நாடுகளுக்கு இடையே பொருள் கடத்தல்களை தடுக்கும் உலக சுங்க அமைப்பின் (World Custom System) ஆசிய பசுபிக் பிராந்தியத்தின் துணைத் தலைவராக இந்தியா தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இந்தியா இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு துணைதலைவராக செயல்படும்

• Launch pad Accelerator India – திட்டம் – கூகுள் நிறுவனம், இந்திய ஸ்டார்ட் அப் நிறுவனங்களுக்கு செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு மற்றும் இயந்திர ஆற்றலில் (Machine Learning/AI) பயிற்சி வழங்க இத்திட்டத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளது.

 

 

• ரோஷ்னி திட்டம் (Roshni scheme) – இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ் காஷ்மீரின் தோடா மாவட்டத்தில் மின்சார வசதியில்லாத சுமார் 1700 வீடுகளுக்கு சோலார் மின் விளக்குகள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• ஜிம்னாஸ்டிக் உலக கோப்பை போட்டிகளில் தங்கம் வென்ற முதல் இந்திய வீராங்கணையான “தீபா கர்மாகர்” திரிபுரா மாநிலத்தின் தூதராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

• இதே போன்று U20– தடகள போட்டியில் தங்கம் வென்ற “ஹிமா தாஸ்” அசாம் மாநிலத்தின் விளையாட்டு தூதராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

• வான்வெளியில் உள்ள பால்வளி அண்டம் போன்றே பல்வேறு அண்டவெளிகளையும் துல்லியமாக படம் பிடிக்க உதவும் உலகின் மிகப் பெரிய டெலஸ்கோப் தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவில் உள்ள கார்நார்வோனில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தியா உள்ளிட்ட 10 நாடுகள் இதற்கு நிதியுதவி அளித்துள்ளது.

• The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, laid the Foundation Stone of the Poorvanchal Expressway in Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.
  • The Prime Minister said that the 340 kilometer long Poorvanchal Expressway would transform the towns and cities that it passes through.

 

• The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, inaugurated the platinum jubilee celebrations of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India in New Delhi on July 14,

 

• The Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Bansagar Canal Project to the Nation in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. This project will provide a big boost to irrigation in the region, and will be greatly beneficial for the farmers of Mirzapur and Allahabad districts of Uttar Pradesh.

 

• The first of world’s cheapest drinking water project was launched in Darbhanga district, Bihar. This was launched by Sulabh International, an organisation that introduced the concept of ‘Sulabh Sauchalya’ in the country.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

 

• Militaries of India and Pakistan will be part of a mega anti-terror drill in Russia named “Peace Mission” in August 2018 which is being organised by the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) with an aim to expand cooperation among the member countries to deal with terrorism and extremism.
  • The exercise will be joined by all SCO member countries including Russia, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

 

• Two women, Jayshree Ullal and Neerja Sethi, who belong to an Indian background, have secured a place on Forbes list of Americas 60 richest self- made women, ranking on the 18th and 21st spot, respectively.
  • Ullal, the CEO of Arista Network was ranked on the 18th position and Sethi, the Vice President of a tech company called Syntel, secured 21st position on the 60 richest self- made women list.

• Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu’s title drought this year continued as she suffered a straight-game defeat against Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in the summit clash of Thailand Open badminton tournament.

 

• France overwhelmed Croatia 4-2 in the World Cup final at Moscow’s Luzhniki stadium to lift the trophy for the second time in 20 years.
  • The 2018 FIFA World Cup was the 21st FIFA World Cup.
