தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• இந்தியாவின் அழகிய இரயில் நிலையங்கள் என்ற தலைப்பில் மத்திய இரயில்வே வாரியம் மேற்கொண்ட ஆய்வில் 2வது அழகிய இரயில் நிலையமாக மதுரை இரயில் நிலையம் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • மகாராஷ்டிரா மாநிலத்தின் சந்திரப்பூர் இரயில் நிலையம் இந்தியாவின் அழகிய இரயில் நிலையமாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• அமர்நாத் யாத்திரை மேற்கொள்பவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்ய “சாதி” (Saathi) எனப்படும் அவசர கால வாகனங்களை மத்திய ரிசர்வ் போலிஸ் படை (CRPL) தொடங்கியுள்ளது.

 

• இந்தியா-கொரிய நாடுகளுக்கிடையேயான “தொழில்நுட்ப பரிமாற்று மையம்”(India – Korea Technology Exchange Centre) புது டெல்லியில் தொடங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• ஆசியாவில் சுற்றி பார்ப்பதற்கான சிறந்த 10 இடங்களின் பட்டியலில் இந்தியாவின் மேற்கு தொடர்ச்சி மலைகள் (Western Ghats) 4வது இடத்தைப் பிடித்துள்ளது. இந்தப் பட்டியலை Lonely Planet நிறுவனம் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• மலிவு விலையில் நகர ஏழைகளுக்கு உணவு வழங்கும் அண்ணா கேன்டீன்களை(Anna Canteens ) ஆந்திர மாநிலத்தில் 60 இடங்களில் அம்மாநில அரசு தொடங்கியுள்ளது.

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ஆயுத போராட்டங்களில் இருந்து சிறுவர்களை பாதுகாக்கும் ‘2427 தீர்மானத்தை (Resolution 2427) ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பாதுகாப்பு கவுன்சில் (UNSCO) ஏற்றுகொண்டுள்ளது.
  • குறிப்பு:
  • ஐ.நா. பாதுகாப்பு கவுன்சில் 1945ல் அமைக்கப்பட்டது. இதன் தலைமையகம் – நியூயார்க்கில் உள்ளது.
  • உறுப்பினர்கள் – 15(5- நிரந்தர உறுப்பினர்கள்+ 10 தற்காலிக உறுப்பினர்கள்)
  • இந்தியா 2010ல் (UNSC)யில் தற்காலிக உறுப்பினராக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• செக் குடியரசு நாட்டின் ப்ளெசன்(Plazen) நகரில் நடைபெற்ற ஹோப்ஸ் ஜுனியர் துப்பாக்கி சுடுதல் போட்டிகளின் மகளிர் 10 மீட்டர் யுசை சகைடந பிரிவில் தமிழகத்தை சேர்ந்த இளவேனில் வளரிவான்(Elavenil Valarivan) தங்கம் வென்றுள்ளார்.

 

 

வர்த்தக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• மும்பை பங்குச் சந்தையில் 12.07.2018 அன்று நடைபெற்ற வர்த்தகத்தில் SENSEX வரலாற்றில் முதன் முறையாக 36492 புள்ளிகள் பெற்று புதிய உச்சத்தை தொட்டு சாதனைப் படைத்துள்ளது.
  • அதே போல் தேசிய பங்குச் சந்தை குறியீட்டெண்(NIFTY-ம்) 11,000 புள்ளிகளை கடந்து சாதனைப் படைத்துள்ளது.

 

 

• ஐரோப்பிய மறுகட்டமைப்பு மற்றும் மேம்பாட்டு வங்கியின் (EBRD) 69வது பங்குதாரராக இந்தியா அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

  • EBRD– எனும் சர்வதேச வங்கி 1991-ல் அமைக்கப்பட்டது, இதன் தலைமையகம் – புது டெல்லியில் உள்ளது.

• உலக விவகாரங்களுக்கான இந்தியக் குழுவின் (ICWA) தலைவராக T.C.A ராகவன் என்பவர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Niti Aayog has proposed 15-point action plan for combating air pollution in ten most polluted cities in the country, including Delhi, Kanpur and Varanasi.
  • The draft action plan titled ‘Breathe India’ includes encouraging electric vehicles, phasing out private diesel vehicle and development of crop residue utilisation policy.

 

• INS Tarangini arrived at her seventh port, Sunderland in the UK, during her Lokayan-18 voyage and also to participate in the prestigious ‘tall ship races – 2018’.
  • The ship is part of the first Training Squadron based at Kochi, under the Southern Naval Command of the Indian Navy.

 

• Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan inaugurated state-run power giant National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) 250 MW Solar Power Plant in Mandsaur.

 

• The Ministry of Mines organized the 4th National Conclave on Mines & Minerals at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan was the chief guest of the conclave.

 

• The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has launched national campaign ‘The Eat Right Movement’.
  • It aims to improve public health and combat lifestyle diseases. FSSAI also launched Eat Right tool kit and Safe and Nutritious Food at Workplace campaign.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• New Zealand scientists have performed the first-ever 3-D, colour X-ray on a human. The device is based on the traditional X-ray but incorporates particle-tracking technology developed for CERN’s Large Hadron Collider.

 

• The UN Security Council adopted a resolution 2427, aimed at a framework for mainstreaming protection, rights, well-being and empowerment of children throughout the conflict cycle.
  • The council was chaired by Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven.
  • The Portuguese parliament has approved a law that will allow citizens to change their gender and name from the age of 16 without a medical report showing “identity disruption”.

 

• The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres constituted a High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation. The panel will be co-chaired by Melinda Gates, Co-Chairman of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Jack Ma, Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group.

 BANKING AND ECONOMY

• Essar Vizag Terminal Ltd (EVTL) has commissioned its iron ore handling complex in Visakhapatnam, deemed to be India’s largest, built with an investment of Rs 830 crore.
  • The facility will support both export and coastal traffic, furthering the vision of the Sagarmala initiative.
