• தமிழ்நாட்டில் நீலகிரி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள, 483 ச.கி.மீ பரப்பளவில் உள்ள முதுமலை புலிகள் சரணாலயத்தை (Mudumalai Tiger Reserve) சுற்றுச்சூழல் உணர்திறன் மண்டலமாக (Eco – Sensitive Zoe) மத்திய சுற்றுச்சூழல் வனத்துறை மற்றும் காலநிலை மாற்ற அமைச்சகம் அறிவித்துள்ளது

 

 

• தமிழகத்தில் முதன் முறையாக பாரம்பரிய மலர்கள் மகத்துவ மையம், ரூ.5 கோடி செலவில் மதுரையில் அமைக்கப்பட உள்ளது.

• குஜராத் மாநில அரசு அம்மாநிலத்தில் வாழும் யூதர்களுக்கு சிறுபான்மையினர் அந்தஸ்து வழங்கியுள்ளது.
• குறிப்பு
  • மேற்கு வங்கம் மற்றும் மகாராஷ்டிராவை அடுத்து யூதர்களுக்கு மத சிறுபான்மையினர் அந்தஸ்து வழங்கிய மூன்றாவது மாநிலமாக குஜராத் உள்ளது.

 

 

• புதிய இந்தியாவின் தரவுகள் பற்றிய சர்வதேச வட்டமேசை மாநாடு -2018, புள்ளி விவரம் மற்றும் திட்ட அமலாக்க அமைச்சகம் சார்பில் புது டெல்லியில் நடத்தப்பட்டது.(2018 International Round Table Conference On Data for New India).

• பின்லாந்தின் டேம்பர்(Tampere) நகரில் நடைபெற்ற 20 வயதிற்கு உட்பட்டோருக்கான(U-20 ) தடகள சாம்பியன் சிப் போட்டியில் பெண்களுக்கான 400 மீட்டர் ஓட்டப்பந்தயத்தில் இந்தியாவின் ‘ஹீமா தாஸ்’ தங்கப்பதக்கம் வென்றுள்ளார்.
  • இதன் U-20 சாம்பியன்சிப் போட்டியில் தங்கம் பெறும் முதல் இந்திய வீராங்கனை என்ற பெருமையை பெற்றுள்ளார். இவர் இஸ்லாம் மதத்தை சேர்ந்தவர்

 

 

• வில்வித்தைக்கான ஆசிய உலக கோப்பை போட்டியில் இந்தியா, 3 வெள்ளி மற்றும் ஒரு வெண்கலம் பெற்று பதக்க பட்டியலில் மூன்றாவது இடம் பெற்றுள்ளது.
  முதல் இரு இடங்களை தென் கொரியா மற்றும் சீனா பெற்றுள்ளது.

• உலக வங்கி வெளியிட்டுள்ள அதிகமான உள்நாட்டு உற்பத்தி(GDP) கொண்ட நாடுகளின் பட்டியலில் இந்தியா ஆறாவது இடத்தில் உள்ளது.
  • முதலிடத்தில் அமெரிக்கா உள்ளது. சீனா 2-வது இடத்திலும், ஜப்பான் மூன்றாவது இடத்திலும் உள்ளது.

 NATIONAL NEWS

• Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) unveiled the country’s first internet telephony service that will allow users to dial any telephone number in India through its mobile app.
  • Now, BSNL customers will be able to make calls using the company’s mobile app “Wings” to any phone number in the country.

 

• Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has given in-principle approval for the 39-crore rupees ‘Seema Darshan’ project for developing more infrastructure facilities from T-Junction to Zero Point at Nadabet near Suigam in Banaskantha district to instil patriotism through a unique Gujarat initiative for border tourism.

 

• The 164th Central Public Works Department Day celebrations were held in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on July 12.

 

• India’s first private sector unit for manufacturing unmanned air vehicles (UAV) and light bullet proof vehicles (LBPV) will be set up by DCM Shriram Industries Group on the campus of Shriram Rayons in Kota, Rajasthan.
  • It will be the country’s first private sector company to manufacture UAVs and LBPVs.

 

• India has become the world’s sixth largest economy overtaking France, according to World Bank data on gross domestic product (GDP) of countries for 2017.
  • United States has topped the list recording a GDP of USD 19,390,604 million, followed by China with USD 12,237,700 million.

• Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated a library in Kathmandu built by the Indian Government in the presence of Indian Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri.

 

• India and the United Kingdom signed an agreement on exchange of experience by legal professionals and government functionaries for resolution of disputes before various courts and tribunals.

SPORTS

• 18-year-old Indian runner Hima Das created history by becoming the first-ever Indian woman to win an athletics gold on the international stage. Hailing from Assam, Hima finished on top of the podium in the women’s 400m event at the IAAF World U20 Championship in Tampere, Finland, clocking 46 seconds.
