தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள் 

 

• பள்ளி மாணவிகள், பள்ளிகளில் தங்களுக்கு ஏற்படும் பிரச்சனைகள் குறித்து புகார் தெரிவிக்க 14417 என்ற இலவச தொலைபேசி எண்ணை தமிழக பள்ளிக் கல்விதுறை அமைச்சகம் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
  • இந்த எண் மூலம் கொடுக்கப்படும் புகார்கள் மீது 24 மணி நேரத்திற்குள் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும், இத்திட்டம் ஆகஸ்ட் 15 முதல் செயல்முறைக்கு வந்துள்ளது.

 

 

• சுதந்திர தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு தமிழக அரசு சார்பில் பல்வேறு பிரிவுகளில் சிறப்பானவர்களுக்கு விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்புகளில் சிறந்த மாநகராட்சியாக திருப்பூர் மாநகராட்சி தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. சிறந்த நகராட்சியாக கோவில்பட்டியும், சிறந்த பேரூராட்சியாக சேலம் மாவட்டம் ஜலகண்ட்புரம் பேரூராட்சியும் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • தமிழக அரசின் சிறந்த துறைக்கான விருதில் பதிவுத் துறை முதல் இடத்தையும், உணவுத் துறை 2வது இடத்தையும், சுகாதாரத் துறை 3வது இடத்தையும் பிடித்துள்ளது.
  • துணிவு மற்றும் சாகசத்துக்காக வழங்கப்படும் கல்பனா சாவ்லா விருது, கோவை மாவட்டம் வால்பாறையைச் சேர்ந்த ‘ஐ. முத்துமாரி’ என்பவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  •  அப்துல்கலாம் விருது, சென்னை அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் செயல்பட்டு வரும் வான்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சி குழுவான ‘தஷ்வா’ குழுவுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• இந்தியாவின் நாட்டுப்பற்று மிக்க பிராண்டுகளின் பட்டியலில், ஸ்டேட் பேங்க் ஆப் இந்தியா வங்கி, இந்தியாவின் அதிக நாட்டுப்பற்று மிக்க (Most Patriotic brand) பிராண்டாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டள்ளது.
  • டாடா மோட்டார்ஸ் 2-ம் இடத்திலும், பதஞ்சலி நிறுவனம் 3ம் இடத்திலும் உள்ளது.

 

 

• வனவிலங்கு பாதுகாப்புக்கான, இந்தியாவின் முதல் மரபணு வங்கி ஹைதராபாத் நகரில் மத்திய அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்ப அமைச்சம் அமைந்துள்ளது.(India’s First genetic bank for wildlife conservation) ஹைதராபாத்தில் உள்ள CSIR – செல் மற்றும் மூலக்கூறு உயிரியல் (CCMB), அழிந்து வரும் உயிரினங்களின் பாதுகாப்பு ஆய்வகத்தில் (LaCONES), இந்த வங்கி தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• ஸ்வாட் (SWAT – Special Weapons and Tactics) என்று அழைக்கப்படும் சிறப்பு ஆயுதங்கள் மற்றும் தந்திரோபாயங்கள் கொண்ட குழுவானது, அமெரிக்காவின் குற்றத் தடுப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளில் புகழ்பெற்றது.
  • இந்தியாவில் பெண்களுக்கான ஸ்வாட் குழுவானது முதன் முதலாக டெல்லியில் தனது பணியைத் தொடங்கியுள்ளது.

 

 

• உலகிலேயே மிகப் பெரிய மருத்துவ காப்பீடு திட்டமான ஆயுஷ்மான் பாரத் சுகாதாரத் திட்டம் செப்டம்பர் 25ம் தேதி, 2018 முதல் தொடங்கப்படும் என பிரதமர் அறிவித்துள்ளார்.
  • பிரதன் மந்திரி ஜன் ஆராக்ய யோஜனா என்ற திட்டத்தின் கீழ் செயல்படும் இத்திட்டமானது, நாட்டில் உள்ள ஏழைக் குடும்பங்களுக்கு (சுமார் 10 கோடி ஏழைக் குடும்பங்கள்), ஆண்டுதோறும் 5 லட்சம் மருத்துவக் காப்பீடு வழங்கும்.

 

 

• மாற்றத்திற்கான இந்தியா – பிரச்சாரம் – மத்திய தகவல் மற்றும் ஒலிபரப்புத் துறையானது, மத்திய அரசின் சாதனைகளை மக்களிடையே எடுத்துச் செல்ல மாற்றத்திற்கான இந்தியா என்ற பெயரில் பிரச்சாரத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the occasion of Independence Day, announced the launch of ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyaan’on September 25. The scheme is the flagship project of Ayushman Bharat, the national healthcare policy launched by the Government earlier this year.
  • Ayushman Bharat, also refered to as ‘Modicare’,was launched by the Government of India in February this year. The ambitious healthcare policy promises to cover over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families, based on SECC (Socio-Economic Caste Census) database, providing coverage up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.

                                             

• The Governor of Manipur, Dr. Najma A. Heptulla inaugurated the project ‘Development of North East Circuit: Imphal & Khongjom’implemented under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India on August 14.
  • The project is thefirst project to be completed under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Government of India.

 

• The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated in Telangana with the launch oftwo major schemes – free eye screening for all citizens and life insurance for farmers.
  • Under ‘Kanti Velugu’, the entire population of 3.7 crore will be provided free eye care. The authorities will not only conduct eye screening but will also provide free medicines, spectacles and arrange for free surgeries, if required.

 

• Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced a universal health scheme – Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY)– in the state that will benefit 70 lakh families.
  • Beneficiaries of the BSKY will get medical assistance of Rs 5 lakh and women will get an additional Rs 2 lakh.

 

• The Government of India has released 470 million Nepali rupees grant for Terai roads project in Nepal. Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Purihanded over a cheque of grant to Secretary, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport of Nepal, Madhusudan Adhikari in Kathmandu, Nepal. 

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• India plans to launch an “Understanding India” programme in Chinato “demystify” the country and create a better understanding of it.
  • Indian Council of Cultural Relations President Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, who was in Beijing to attend the World Congress of Philosophy, said that by watching Bollywood and reading websites one can know India only superficially.

 

• The Indian Embassy in Nepal handed over30 ambulances and six buses to various hospitals, non-profit charitable organizations and educational institutions of Nepal on the occasion of India’s 72nd Independence Day.

 

ECONOMY

• The Indian economy is expected to grow at 4% in the current fiscal, higher than the previous year, according to Ficci’s Economic Outlook Survey.

• Madhya Pardesh GovernorAnandiben Patel was sworn in as Governor of Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi administered the oath of office to Anandiben Patel.
  • D Bala Venkatesh Varmahas been appointed as the Ambassador to   He will succeed Pankaj Saran who has been appointed as the deputy National Security Advisor.

 

AWARDS

• Rifleman Aurangzeb and Major Aditya Kumar of Indian Army will be conferred the Shaurya Chakraalong with 18 others Armed Forces Personnel and members of Paramilitary Forces. Aurangzeb, who has been selected posthumously, was abducted and later killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

• International Master Nihal Sarinbecame the 53rd Grandmaster of India despite losing his final round game to Richard Rapport of Hungary in the ninth and final round of Abu Dhabi Masters.
  • The 14-year-old Nihal tallied 5 points out of a possible nine and the final GM norm came the Kerala boy’sway with one round to spare.
