உலக செய்திகள்

 

 

• பாகிஸ்தான், ராவல்பிண்டி பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ள ஒரு கிராமத்துக்கு ‘மலாலா’ என்ற பெயர் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

 

• இஸ்ரேல் சுதந்திரத்தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு புறாக்களை கௌரவிக்கும் விதத்தில் ‘சிறகடிக்கும் வீரர்கள்’ என்ற பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• சர்வதேச அளவில் மொபைல் வாட்ஸ் அப் பயன்பாட்டில் (அதிக நேரம் செலவிடுவதன் மூலம்) இந்தியா முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது. 2வது இடத்தில் இந்தோனேஷியாவும், 3வது இடத்தில் மெக்ஸிகோவும் உள்ளது. 

 

• அமெரிக்காவில் இருந்து வெளியாகும் ஃபார்ச்சூன் பத்திரிக்கை வெளியிட்டுள்ள 2018ம் ஆண்டுக்கான உலகின் சிறந்த தலைவர்கள் பட்டியலில் ரிலையன்ஸ் குழுமத் தலைவர் முகேஷ் அம்பானி, மனித உரிமைகள் ஆர்வலரும், வழக்கறிஞருமான இந்திரா ஜெய்சிங் ஆகியோர் இடம் பெற்றுள்ளனர்.

அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• சிங்கப்பூரில் உள்ள நயாங் தொழில்நுட்ப பல்கலைக்கழம் நாற்காலி தயாரிக்கும் ரோபோக்களை தயாரித்துள்ளது. இந்த ரோபோக்கள் 9 நிமிடத்தில் ஒரு நாற்காலிகளை தயாரிக்கும் திறன் பெற்றுள்ளது.

 

வர்த்தக செய்திகள்

 

 

• 19 கோடி இந்தியர்களுக்கு வங்கிகளில் கணக்கு இல்லை என்று உலக வங்கி தெரிவித்துள்ளது. 

 

• பணத்தட்டுப்பாட்டை போக்கும் நடவடிக்கையாக, பொருட்கள் வாங்கும் இடங்களிலும் ஏடிஎம் அட்டை மூலம் பணம் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம் என பாரத் ஸ்டேட் பேங்க் அறிவித்துள்ளது. 

 

• டாடா குழுமத்தைச் சேர்ந்த நாட்டின் மூன்றாவது மிகப்பெரிய மென்பொருள் ஏற்றுமதி நிறுவனமான டிசிஎஸ் நான்காவது காலாண்டில் ரூ.6,904 கோடி லாபம் ஈட்டியுள்ளது.

• The Global Findex Report, 2017 released by the World Bank showed that number of account holders in the country has risen from 35 percent of the adults in 2011 and 53 percent in 2014 to 80 percent in 2017.

• India has 19 crore adults without a bank account despite the success of the ambitious Jan Dhan Yojana, making it the world’s second largest unbanked population after that of China, the World Bank said.
